Non-Stop Dragonfly

About living with ADHD in a house with three women in various levels of depression.

The dragonfly is the only animal that cannot fold up his wings and that’s why he’s flying most of the day.  You’ve never seen him for more than a few seconds and you’d never keep up with him if you tried. His thorax is entirely flight muscles, giving him strength and skill that no other creature can match.

Each of his wings has a Pterostigma which means Wing Mark that keeps it perfectly in balance. A brilliant network of cross veins, folds, resins, and pure mathematics grants flexibility and guides his strength with amazing grace.

These wings, necessarily delicate and fragile, leave the dragonfly vulnerable at all times.

But make no mistake; a dragonfly doesn’t fly to protect his weakness.  Though he only has two weeks to live, the dragonfly is afraid of nothing.  A skilled explorer and hunter, he has the highest success rate of any creature – 97%. He flies because Father made him so good at it.
